Otaku Bowl Summer Mix took place two weeks before Anime Expo. My folks just happened to be in town. After having breakfast at the Daly City Denny's, Mother insisted on getting a stool and more cleaning supplies at the nearest Seafood Ranch (or any other Pilipino American owned store). Before we knew it, the nearest one we found was right across the street from Daly City Classic Bowling Center (?). Although it was 9AM in the morning, Tom and I would not show up to Otaku Bowl until after we had lunch.

So, after touring around Twin Peaks, my folks left for home. Tom came by as they were leaving. We really did not have any cosplay plans prior to Otaku Bowl, we decided to do a little Kill Bill. I basically pulled GoGo Yubari out of the closet. (I need to find Mercy High School uniform skirts!)

Talk about deja vu, Tom and I arrived at the bowling alley just after we had some lunch. We played a few rounds of bowling. I'll admit, that I have not bowled since my sophomore year of high school. The guy cosplaying as Merchant gave out some pointers. Merchant, Mike, Patrick, Tom, and I played a few rounds.

There was also a cosplay contest set up. It was more of a pose for the camera type of format.

Most of the time was spent doing rounds of bowling. Astro, Tog, Tom, and I decided to make funny names on the screen such as Buttsex, Pho King A, and F'n Pink Bunny. Try and guess who's name matched up with who. Tom and I also decided to share an apple midori sour, but it was really watered down.

Thanks Ray and Project 760 for hosting Otaku Bowl Summer Mix! Tom and I had a really great time!
