Fanime 2010 took place on May 28 - May 31 at the San Jose Convention Center. Fanime is run "for fans, by fans" for sixteen years. Though the convention hails from the Bay Area, many Los Angelinos trek up the 5 freeway to make it to the four day event. This marks Scarlet Rhapsody's seventh year attending. Fanime keeps getting better and better. Five years ago, Fanime was often criticized as one of the most disorganized and authorative conventions in the West Coast, but many attendees we spoke to agree that Fanime has certainly improved through the years. Fanime had many unique events to offer such as the now famed Black and White Ball, maid cafe, several concerts, interactive guests of honor panels, cosplay gatherings, artist alley, dealer's hall, and more.
