Disneyland Food by Jared the Greek
One of the biggest parts of going to Disneyland is grabbing a little food from a Disney Dog to popcorn there is a story about the various offerings at the park. This panel brought up the origins of some of the different food items and some of the secret menu items at the park. The panel also covered older restaurants that have since been torn down to discuss foods that are no longer available. There was also a discussion about Walt's favorite foods, hard to find recipes, they and talked about some of the things cast members would eat. The best part of this panel was the lineup including two of Walt Diseny's relatives and John Lasseter. It was a great panel that really got in depth with part of the parks that is both ubiquitous and yet unassuming.

Stage Pass by Eri Kagami Sews
I heard about Stage Pass through the grapevine among my friends who have attended D23 in the past. Stage Pass is like Fast Pass; you get to stand in a priority line where you are guaranteed a seat instead of waiting in the standby line where there is no promise of getting a seat. Panels and events in Hall D23 did not have the stage pass, but other panels did. What you did is you went to the counter to have your badge scanned and you will receive a paper stage pass. It is recommended to show up 15-20 minutes before the start time. We did two panels in this fashion; Oswald and Hercules. Oswald did not exceed the space, but the Stage Pass for Hercules was helpful as it was almost filled to capacity.

Star Wars books by Jared the Greek
At one of the showroom stages there was a brief panel on the current, and some upcoming, Star Wars books. The panel covered the new children's books including Star Wars Golden Books and then moved into the middle grade books like Jedi Academy. The panel continued like that covering all the different reading levels of the readers. This was followed by an overview of the current and upcoming comics then a shift toward lighter things like coloring books. It was interesting to note that books that weren't very well received were either glossed over or outright skipped in this panel. It was nice way to keep track of the new books coming out and how to learn what to avoid due to the lack of coverage in the panel.

Disney emporium by Eri Kagami Sews
Shopping at D23 is like going into the candy store. Be ready to spend a lot! Other than the Disney Store and other places where you needed to get a store pass, there was still a lot of shopping and vendors. There were two - the emporium and general dealers. The emporium had companies such as Anovos selling and showcasing cosplay they were selling. They are best known for creating screen accurate representations from Star Wars, Marvel movies, and more. Their costumes don't come cheap! Besame Cosmetics were promoting their line of Snow White themed make up based on the 1937 animated feature. They were only selling the eye shadow pallettes and the mirror. They were also teasing the upcoming Agent Carter make up line (as endorsed by Daddy Stark). The emporium also had the little Golden Books sold at cash only. They also had books published by Disney including Star Wars novels and other coffee table art books. There was still a lot of things to look at and browser around the emporium that weren't necessarily in the Disney Store.
