Comikaze Expo took place on November 5-6, 2011 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The Los Angeles Convention Center is no stranger to celebrations of fandom. Star Wars Celebration, E3, and Anime Expo have had events in this space. It also should be noted that this is Comikaze Expo's first year. For a first year show, it exceeded expectations. Guests such as Stan Lee, Elvira, and Mark Hamill headlined the first year show. Over 20,000 pre-sale tickets were sold prior to Comikaze. Scarlet Rhapsody was quite curious about the first inagural convention that celebrates everything nerdy and quixotic.
