The last day of Anime Expo 2008. Sunday was much like Thursday, things were still alive with a mellow atmosphere. Tom and I went to the AX Merchandise booth and bought our Anime Expo 2008 plushies and shirts. I'm very happy that Anime Expo has mascot plushies! Great way to keep a consistent theme to the convention.

Like any other last day at any convention, we went to the Exhibit Hall to score some clearance sales. I was able to get a hold of the complete Macross series and an Evangelion school uniform. Tom got more Transformers, guns, and Broccoli grab bags.

Of course, we can't forget the Sunday costumers. We also ran into our literally horny horned friend Luck in Spades.

There was also a mini Avatar: The Last Airbender gathering while Wizards of the Coasts were giving away free t-shirts from their booth on the second floor.

With the help of our friends Jason and Old Man Mike, we took pictures of our new costumes for Anime Expo, Issac and Miria from Baccano! There were more Baccano! cosplayers at Fanime and Anime Central. Sadly, we were the only ones present. Basically, we did Issac and Miria in New York City.

The convention was really winding down. For the most part, we were catching up with Ebie and Old Man Mike. Thanks for keeping us company! Traveling Valentine: SVU was just chilling at the Anime Los Angeles booth. We ran into our San Francisco friend, Ray Nagar, promoting his new podcast.

Originally, there was a Fruits Basket gathering on Friday at 9AM, but Stan, Deb, and Carolyn were wearing those costumes on Monday. The beauty of costume play is running into people from the same series and creating impromptu gatherings on the spot. Deb as Kagura made sure that Kyo-kun got what was coming. Just right outside the Anime Los Angeles booth, there was a random Fruits Basket gathering.

Our crew was feeling hungry. Our post-Anime Expo plans included going to Buca Di Beppo in Universal City. Believe me, we were feeling out of it. It was time to say "bye bye" to the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Stan decided to take a nap in the car. Tom wanted to do a CNN Hardball style report on Anime Expo at the Italian restaurant, but all of us were too sleepy to even answer. We turned into con zombies by the time we got our drinks from our awesome waiter, Joe.

After a scrumptious dinner at Buca Di Beppo, we decided to hit the movies. It was Carolyn's idea to see Hancock. I'll have to say the highlight of that movie was seeing the trailer for Quantum of Solace. Because we were still in dork mode, we took pictures with the posters at the AMC theater. Of course, Tom and I had to claim Mamma Mia since that was theme of Anime Expo 2003, the con where we first fell in love.
