Tom and I decided to take an alternate route to Long Beach. We ended up taking the 103 (aka The Michael Bay Highway, a freeway used in a lot of his movies) to the 42 to downtown Long Beach. We were cosplaying from Nadia: Secret of the Blue Water. We were only acquainted with this series a few months before the con. The moment I saw Samson and Grandis, I thought to myself, "That's so going to be the next Traveling Valentine project!" We had a photoshoot set with Laura from Digital Dreams photography. Because we were caught in bridge traffic, we were rushing to get to Long Beach! Our shoot was at 10:45. I was putting on my Grandis wig as I was getting out of the car. Luckily, we arrived just in time. Laura spotted me by the Hyatt mirror as I was fixing my wig.

Today was also the big Haruhi Day. The Melancholy and Infinite Sadness of Haruhi Suzumiya is off to becoming one of the more popular cosplays. Many fans wore those yellow ribbons and did the "Hare Hare Yukai" dance. Tom and I had an early lunch at the Hyatt's Tides. We ran into the SOS Brigade team and representatives from Bandai. It was really cute to see the performers act in character as they were going out to lunch.

After another trip to the Anime Los Angeles con suite, we did our usual wanderings around the convention center.

And there was much picture taking at the pretty Rainbow Lagoon.

And then it was off to the Masquerade Ball!
