Anime Overdose Sunday was still in full swing. The first thing Tom and I did was attend the Guests of Honor autograph session. Mr. Aardman had figures from Wallace and Gromitt: Curse of the Were Rabbit with him on display. I made sure Eponine had a picture with these folks. Mr. Aardman also had my favorite part of the movie - the bunnies! They make me squee like a fangirl. Of couse, we had to get our photo with Vic M since we were dressed up as state alchemists. I even requested that Vic M and Tom do a fighting pose. For the first ever, Ed towers over Roy. Mark your calenders - August 6, 2006.

Meet the Guests

There seemed to be several Full Metal Alchemists runing around AOD. We hooked up with them for photo oppurtunities. We made one last round to the Dealer Room. As I mentioned on Friday, I had my sights set for a kimono. Before leaving the house, Tom and I stopped by the bank and I withdrew enough cash for the kimono. It was $43 for the kimono and obi.

For the rest of Sunday, we just bopped from panel to panel. Vic M continued sharing ancedotes from voice acting and answered fan questions. Our favorite highlight of Vic M part 2 was his stories about dumpster diving for film equipment and props for short films he made. I knew there was going to be a doll panel, but I forgot the time. However, Greg Dean, the husband of Lizzie (doll panel hostess), did his own panel for Real Life Comics. The doll panel followed afterwards.

Last year brought you Samurai, this year of Iron Cosplay brings you the attack of the Magical Girls. The secret ingrediant? Saran wrap. Contestants spent two hours completing this task of re-creating an existing magical girl character. In the end, it came down to Cha Cha, Card Captor Sakura, and Pretty Cure. The Pretty Cure won the title of Iron Cosplayer.

Shortly after, hall cosplay awards were given out.

Tom and I were ready for lunch, so we went across the street to Mel's. They gave us better seating this time around. Ryu joined us. Right across from us was Mike, Patrick, and Merchant. By the time we got back to the hotel, the Dealer Room was being taken down. There was not much going on, just Stephanie Yanez's concert and closing ceremonies. We crashed the concert for a little bit.

Finally, it came down to closing ceremonies. The three men that the convention attendees admired most - The Father (Hank), The Son (Rob), and The Holy Ghost (Brandon in a bedsheet) - closed the convention. For the rest of the time, Tom and I just chilled with Astro and Tog. Crazy leap frog antics happened here and there. It was finally time for us to go. Bye bye Anime Overdose, we hope to visit you again.
