Saturday, lovely Saturday. I had a bit of sleep paralysis and I thought I saw Patrick's ghost at 7AM in the morning. Truth is, our hotel mates did not get their badges yet. They got up at 5AM to be one of the first for pick up. Tom and I got all Bleached up for Saturday. Tom cosplayed as Gin Ichimaru and I cosplayed as Momo Hinamori.

On Saturday morning, there was a doll panel at 10AM. This panel taught you how to hand sew fur wigs for your dolls. Tom picked up a cow print style fur fabric for his Yo SD Kuuta. He thought about making his Kuuta a Sweeney Todd ensemble. I picked up some pink fur. While I knew how to make wigs, it was refreshing to start off the day with something creative. I don't know about you, but sewing puts my mind at ease.

I also tried adding pigtails to my fur wig as an expiriement, but they turned out to be bunny ears. Ah well, some of the best discoveries are made by the most simple accidents. My favorite dolls at the fur wig panel were these tiny dolls that reminded me of Glinda and Elphaba from Wicked. I posed them in such a way as if they were singing "Popular" to each other.

We had lunch at the convention restaurant. The food was rather bland. We decided to hang out with Jen and her friends before going to the Dealers Room. Yes, there was a Bleach gathering that we thought about hitting up, but it was so windy out there! Best we stayed indoors!

One of my favorite bits of the Dealers Room was the Jem Con booth. Talk about a doll day afternoon! I joked around that these were the first ball jointed dolls. The booth had tons of Jem dolls from the 1980s. They even had a custom made Riot!

Of course, there were more cosplayers running around the Dealers Room. Very happy to see a Bacanno! group outside. Tom left his Perrier water at Kevin's Fansview booth at the Hyatt. Luckily, Kevin kept a close eye on it!

For the rest of the daylight hours we watched the Spoony Bards play at the Anime Central parlor.

Then, we took a few pictures of our Bleach costumes before heading back to the room. Looks like Gin Ichimaru went through Hinamori's Aizen doujinshi collection!

One special cosplay highlight was seeing the Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar cosplayers. Ladies and gentlemen, we have the masquerade winners right here!
