International Sailor Moon Day Los Angeles

Originally conceived by Lisa Terlato in New York City to gather Moonies worldwide to celebrate their love of the beloved Sailor Moon franchise, International Sailor Moon Day Los Angeles aims to bring Moonies in Southern California together to share and celebrate their love for the 14 year old crybaby and underachiever, Sailor Moon. Originally airing at 7:30AM on UPN Channel 13, the momentum for the Sailor Moon fandom in Southern California has always been strong. With a new television series streamed worldwide and a new release of the original 90s series by Viz, the Sailor Moon fan community is stronger than ever. It’s no doubt that Sailor Moon has touched the lives of many fans with it’s themes of girl power, friendship, love, and fighting for what you believe in.

In recent years, fandoms such as Attack on Titan and Pokemon have created annual fan meet ups to create a safe space for fandom unity. ISMD: LA aims to have an annual event every year in Greater Los Angeles to celebrate the fandom. This is an unofficial event with no affiliation with Toei or Bandai.
